Shop owner Barbara Stevens learned to sew on a treadle sewing machine at the early age of five. Hand sewing, embroidery, piecing, and quilting soon followed. Owning a quilt shop has been her lifelong dream. In July 2008, Barb fulfilled her dream by opening AnnaLouisa’s Quilt Shop.

theBarb’s goal was for the shop be filled with a variety of fine quilting fabric, her hand dyed woolens, and for each person who enters AnnaLouisa’s feel welcome to sit a spell and be inspired. The new shop reflects her personality and love of the fiber arts | |||

theBarb has been a Registered Nurse for 34 years, continues to work full time, and cares for her llamas and alpacas at her CherriOoo Farm. She still finds time to express her passion by hand sewing and creating many of the wool appliqué patterns found at AnnaLouisa’s, mixing her own recipes for dyeing wool found in the Wool Room, searching for unique antiques for the store, and teaching wool applique’ to Quilt guilds throughout Ohio and at AnnaLouisa’s. | |||
